Then we took that breakthrough product and created variations that addressed specific applications and challenges in wood-products scanning. And all the while we improved performance and refined details. The result: the new JS-20 X-Series.

JS-20 SX (standard range)
The SX provides lineal scanning of boards, cants and small to medium-size logs. It offers an optimal combination of accuracy, scan speed and both field and depth of view, making it an excellent choice for many machine centers. It works best in a Lineal Edger or Sharp Chain setting.

JS-20 WX (wide angle)
The WX is designed for transverse scanning for trimmers and edgers. It exchanges depth of view for a wider field of view, allowing each scanner to see more of the length of each board. The reduced depth of view also significantly increases the scan speed, to 650 scans per second, which provides finer coverage of the wane on a board. It works best in a Transverse Scanning setting.

JS-20 X1 (extended range)
The X1 has a single laser and is well-suited for lineal scanning of larger logs. Its standoff of more than 10 feet allows you to place it further from the logs if your configuration obstructs standard scanner positioning. It works best in Sharp Chain settings.

JS-20 X2 (dual laser)
The X2 offers high-density snapshot and short-infeed scanning. Its dual lasers scans the entire length of a log in 12 inches of travel. It works best in Carriage Headrig, Sharp Chain and Lineal Edger settings.
JS-20 X3 (triple laser)
The X3 delivers higher-density snapshot and short-infeed scanning. With three lasers, it can scan the entire length of a log in just 6 inches of travel. It works best in Carriage Headrig, Sharp Chain and Lineal Edger settings.

We work closely with you to ensure that it’s easy to communicate with our scanners in your environment.
